As you are aware, Melted Parents have been involved in the stakeholder group for the NI Childcare Subsidy Scheme, we’ve now been asked to help share information on it for parents.
Last week we saw the rollout of the scheme for providers, and from 5th August, parents will be asked to also register for the subsidy.
In these pages, you’ll find a summary of the communications that will be sent to parents from 5th August, with information on eligibility requirements and how to apply for the scheme.
Parents, please read this post carefully – if you still have any questions regarding this information, we’ll be happy to try to answer them. You can also email nicssparent@early-years.org.
We are delighted that, for the first time, the NI Executive will be investing money in childcare that will directly benefit parents – however, we recognise that there’s still work to be done to improve this scheme for parents and providers. Most importantly, there’s still a lot of work ahead to make sure that ALL families receive affordable, accessible, good quality childcare – and we won’t stop until this is the reality.
